Imogene Anglaret - Treasurer

Imogene read history at the University of Southampton and graduated with a 2:1. After working for Saga Holidays for two years she began her insurance career with Talbot in late 2002 on their Management trainee scheme, settling in their property department. In August 2003 Imogene moved to Cathedral as an Assistant Underwriter and was a founding member of the property team focussing predominantly on US Commercial business. In 2007 she began underwriting her own small commercial property accounts and continues to assist the class underwriter. ACII qualified, Imogene joined the Under 30’s committee after attending 2005 Under 30’s tour to the West Coast of the USA


James Chicken

James started in the Lloyd’s market in September 2002 with Price Forbes Ltd. as a member of the Property department.  He worked on a wide range of general property accounts predominantly US based but also a number of International accounts.  In 2004, James moved to the Power, Energy & Construction sector and now specialises in these fields placing US and global utility and construction projects.  James has been on two Study tours and co-led the 2007 Tour to the Central and Mid- Western US and has also toured South America with the Lloyd’s of London Rugby Club.


Andy Cochrane

Andy Cochrane recently joined Colemont Insurance Brokers after 6 successful years at Lockton International (formerly Alexander Forbes).   Andy came to Lloyd's having completed an Accounting & Finance degree in Bristol in 2001 and a language diploma in Maceio, Brazil.  Andy is an Associate Director in the Property & Casualty Division focusing on Latin America, Australia and Eastern Europe.  He is responsible for the development of the Latin America region and is a regular visit to the region and Miami.  Andy was a member of the 2007 Study tour to Mid-Western USA.


Katie Cupman

Katie began her career in 2000 as an Aviation Underwriting Assistant for Chartwell. In 2002 she moved to Brit and worked on the Aviation and Space accounts before moving into the property division in 2005, working on large and middle market U.S. Open Market business. She has authority to renew accounts and assists the Class Underwriter in the rating and underwriting of new business. In 2007 she attended the Lloyd’s U30s tour visiting states in the Mid-West U.S.A. She is currently studying for her ACII and has passed 5 exams to date.


Gemma Higgins

Gemma has been with Thompson Heath & Bond since July 2002. She originally started as broker back up and within months progressed to become a broker in the Open Market placing team. Gemma mainly places direct North American catastrophe exposed property business into the London, European and Bermudan market. Gemma is currently studying for her ACII.


Steve Hoes

Steve began his career in Insurance with Heath Lambert in 2002, working in the North American Claims department, moving on to Monument UK in 2003, carrying out a similar role however responsible for more of an international book of business. In September 2004 Steve joined Miller's Property team as a broker, working with clients from across the globe,  but having a predominant focus on US business.  Acting now as an Associate Director at Miller , Steve combines London/ European and Bermudian marketing and is client /market facing on a daily basis. Steve has recently completed a secondment to Bermuda.


David Morris - Secretary

David graduated from Durham University with a 2:1 in 1999 and then spent a year in Thailand teaching English. This was followed by a year at Bristol University reading for an MSc in International Relations before joining Talbot as an assistant to the Terrorism team in 2002. He then moved after 6 months to assist the Active Underwriter in various classes, predominantly Marine, and in July 2006 moved to International and North American Property.   


David Rothstein - Chairman

David is a placing broker working within Guy Carpenter's UK Retrocession unit specialising in the trading of index based products. He joined the 2002 Marsh Graduate Programme after completing a politics degree at the University of Nottingham and first worked as part of Guy Carpenter’s Wholesale department placing North American Property Treaty Reinsurance into the London market. David is ACII qualified and is Chairman of the Lloyd’s Non-Marine Under 30’s Group.


Richard Shreeve

Richard joined Price Forbes Ltd. in April 2004 after graduating from Leicester University with a 2:1 in History.  He initially worked within the Property team dealing predominantly with direct facultative business with the emphasis on North America.  In August 2007 Richard moved to the Power, Energy & Construction team where he is an active member of the placing team on both upstream and downstream accounts.  Richard attended the 2007 study tour and is leading the 2009 tour to the East coast.


Mark Hiles

Mark joined the Lloyds Market in April 2004 working as an assistant to underwriters throughout the syndicate. After 6 months Mark moved over to assist the property team where he now holds the position of Assistant Underwriter. Mark attended the 2007 US study tour to the mid-west. Mark is currently studying for his ACII with 2 exams passed to date.
